The Practical Mysticism class took place between March 4 and May 6, 2010. Joanne Biewald facilitated the class with the help from assistant, Carla McKim. There were ten enthusiastic students.  You can view the class announcement below.

It was an enriching class with a good workbook. The texts used were: Carolyn Myss’ Entering the Castle: Finding the Inner Path to God and Your Souls Purpose and Joel Goldsmith’s The Foundations of Mysticism

We explored our individual mysticism by getting in touch with the mystic which indwells each of us. One highlight of the class was when each student gave a report on a mystic or mystical group. The reports introduced subjects from Toaism and I Ching to Reverend Ike!

Here are a couple comments from students:

“Well, it was great fun and now I know we have a lot of practicing to do. Looking forward to the next class. Joanne is a great teacher and has very few dropouts. I am aware that the general public is not quite aware of this, so nice to have our group to discuss things freely and openly. A great support group.” Dee Ray

“Another interesting OSC Class. Joanne puts a lot of thought and care into her classes.”

"I took this class, too, and loved it. In fact, I plan to spend some time this summer rereading the two books we studied. It was expecially interesting to learn about the great variety of mystics who have taught throughout the ages."  Daisy McKinley
