Spiritual Mind Treatment

Many people do not pray because they don’t know how. The Science of Mind offers these 5 steps to cover all the elements needed for effective prayer when prayed with sincerity and openness to receive. 

This positive prayer technique is based on Oneness: an understanding that our minds are facets of the One Mind we call God or Spirit or simply Life, and that we have a connection with divine guidance, provision, power and compassion. We pray to become clearer receivers for the good already in store for us, so we talk to ourselves—to our own minds—to bring about a change in our thinking that harmonizes with the good we desire.

 

Step 1: RECOGNITION: There is One Power in the universe. It is a Power for Good.

Step 2: UNIFICATION: I Am One with this Power and with everyone and everything through It. Therefore, I can use It to claim Good for myself and all of life.

Step 3: REALIZATION: My part in this divine partnership is choosing. Any desire I have that does not harm anyone or anything is in harmony with God/Good, for its manifestation helps the universe expand.

Step 4: THANKSGIVING: I gratefully open my mind, my heart, and my life to receive that which I have chosen.

Step 5: RELEASE:  I turn this prayer over to the universe to fulfill, knowing it is already at work for me. I have done my choosing, and I am open to receive. And so it is!

All prayers are prayers for healing, whether physical or relational, for the removal of blockage and contradiction reveals our good. As St. Augustine said, “Miracles are not contrary to the laws of nature; they are only contrary to what we know about the laws of nature.”
